Eintracht Frankfurt and its fans can breathe a sigh of relief: Adidas remains committed to German football, securing its presence in the Bundesliga through a new, long-term partnership. Although the sportswear giant is losing its kit deal with the German national team to Nike, it is solidifying its role in domestic league operations, which is also significant for Eintracht Frankfurt.

Starting next season and running through 2034, Adidas will once again manufacture the official Bundesliga match ball. This move replaces DerbyStar, which has served as the technical sponsor since 2018. This agreement underscores Adidas's commitment to German professional football.

A central component of the deal is a capital injection of €100 million from Adidas to the league. This investment is designed to drive the global growth of the first and second divisions, improve the quality of television broadcasts, and effectively combat piracy.

The German national team's switch to Nike in 2027, after more than 40 years with Adidas, was a significant blow. However, the new Bundesliga agreement ensures that Adidas maintains a strong presence in German club football and nurtures important partnerships.

Currently, Adidas is the technical sponsor for four top-flight clubs, including Eintracht Frankfurt, Bayern Munich, Union Berlin, and Hamburger SV. For Eintracht Frankfurt, this continued partnership with Adidas means stability in equipment and an indirect strengthening through the league's investments.

The new partnership not only secures the future of Bundesliga match balls but also strengthens Adidas's position within the German football landscape, ultimately benefiting clubs like Eintracht Frankfurt by keeping them part of a robust and globally growing league ecosystem.
