Galatasaray coach Okan Buruk acknowledged interest in Can Uzun, who joined Eintracht Frankfurt from 1. FC Nürnberg in summer 2024. “He is under contract with a very good club, and we must respect that,” the 52-year-old stated. A transfer would only be possible if conditions align for all parties and are handled with mutual respect.
Why is Uzun in demand?
The dribbling specialist, whose Frankfurt contract runs until 2029, has emerged as one of the Bundesliga’s most exciting talents. Reports suggest the Eagles have set a €60 million price tag for the eight-cap international. New Eintracht coach Adi Hütter has also praised Uzun’s potential: “Can has incredible potential. He’s a fantastic player and can decide games.”
What happens next?
Though Uzun has been linked with clubs abroad, including in Serie A, his future remains uncertain. Eintracht Frankfurt, who scored and conceded 54 goals last season (0 goal difference), continue to rely on the young star. Their next fixture is away to SC Freiburg on 13 February 2027.
