As the Bundesliga club and Löwen Frankfurt announced jointly on Wednesday, the SGE has acquired 10% of the shares of the ice hockey premier league club. The Eintracht will take over the sponsorship and hospitality marketing as well as the merchandising business of the winter sportsmen. This is important to make the Löwen sustainable and future-proof, said Löwen managing director Stefan Krämer. The goal of the cooperation is to further develop central areas of the Löwen Frankfurt club management, to strengthen them economically and to continuously digitalize them, the Eintracht announced. Board spokesman Axel Hellmann emphasized that this will help the fans, partners and the entire city. Andreas Stracke, who was previously responsible for the areas of sponsoring, marketing and communication at the Löwen, withdrew as a shareholder of the ice hockey club after 16 years. At his own request, it was said on the part of the Löwen. The Eintracht Frankfurt football company is now also involved in ice hockey and will lead important commercial core processes of the Löwen Frankfurt.
