Eintracht Frankfurt is planning to transfer a Brazilian national player. The departure of Rasmus Kristensen has left a significant gap in Eintracht Frankfurt's defense.
What happened?
The Dane, who joined his youth club FC Midtjylland in the summer for family reasons and brought in around six million euros in transfer fees, was not just anyone on the right defense - he was a regular player, leader and crowd favorite.
Who is Vitinho?
According to transfer insider Sacha Tavolieri, Eintracht Frankfurt is internally discussing an offer for Vitinho, the 27-year-old right-back from Botafogo. The Brazilian is no unknown quantity: he gained experience in Europe with Cercle Brügge and FC Burnley, with whom he achieved promotion to the Premier League under current Bayern coach Vincent Kompany.
What's next?
Vitinho is still under contract with Botafogo until the end of 2029 - so a decent transfer fee would be due. In addition, other European clubs are said to be interested, including Olympique Lyon and the Russian clubs Zenit St. Petersburg and CSKA Moscow. Eintracht Frankfurt is currently 7th in the Bundesliga, 34 points behind leaders Bayern München, and has scored 54 goals and conceded 54 in the current season. The next game is on February 13, 2027 against SC Freiburg
