Eintracht Frankfurt confirms departure of Noel Futkeu

Eintracht Frankfurt has confirmed the loan move of Noel Futkeu to SV Elversberg. The 23-year-old striker joins with a buy option to the Bundesliga newcomer. Personal terms between the player and the club have already been agreed, and the transfer is set to go through pending final formalities.

With Futkeu's departure, another offensive player leaves the club. In the 2025/26 season, Eintracht Frankfurt scored 61 goals and conceded 65, resulting in a goal difference of -4. The team finished 8th with 44 points (11 wins, 11 draws, 12 losses). Their recent form was poor, with two draws and two losses (DDLL).

SV Elversberg, playing in the Bundesliga for the first time this season, is banking on Futkeu's experience. The striker is expected to help the team establish itself in Germany's top flight. Eintracht Frankfurt's last four games included a 2-2 draw against VfB Stuttgart on May 16, 2026, and a weak record of 0 wins, 2 draws, and 2 losses.

The transfer is set to be completed once the final formalities are sorted. For Eintracht Frankfurt, this means they can now focus on preparing for the new season. The club finished 45 points behind league leaders Bayern München last season and will aim to improve in the upcoming campaign.
