Eintracht Frankfurt won their fifth consecutive friendly match, this time with a 5:1 victory over FSV Frankfurt. Captain Robin Koch was satisfied with the performance but emphasized that the team still needs to work on their intensity and identity. Eintracht finished last season in eighth place with 44 points (11 wins, 11 draws, 12 losses) and a goal difference of 61:65.
Koch praised his team's committed performance, particularly the intense pressing and high running. "It's important that we give everything, step on the gas, and make the game work for us," said the captain. Eintracht showed in all five friendly matches the beginnings of what coach Adi Hütter envisions.
After a difficult season with 65 goals conceded and two coaching changes, intensity is a central theme. "It's the most important thing that we bring the intensity," said Koch. The team wants to establish this as their identity for the new season.
Koch will lead the team as captain again and emphasizes the importance of leading players. Eintracht has a young team that is still finding its rhythm. Alongside positive aspects like the functioning pressing, there is still room for improvement.
